HARMONY

Image
WHAT IS HARMONY ? Harmony can be described as sameness, the belonging of one thing with another. The repetition of design elements like color , texture, shape, and form is one of the easiest ways to achieve harmony to create a composition. Harmony is the sense that all of the elements of your design fit together. They may fit the same theme, aesthetic style or mood.                       INSTALLATION ASSIGNMENT Firstly I took inspiration from snowy season, because I love snow and the snowy environment. BALANCE

Image
BALANCE Balance is the distribution of the visual weights of objects, colors, texture, and space. If the design was a scale, these elements should be balanced to make a design feel stable. Sense of balancing is important in any graphics because if the image is not balanced then the viewers will not understand where to look at. In such situation you will not be able to communicate the message that you want to convey. In the design you also need to have focal point and then balance according to it.  Making 2 composition by using these elements SYMMETRICAL BALANCE In symmetrical composition the elements should be identical on both the sides. With using these elements I have arranged them in a balanced. symmetrical balance means that the work of art is the same on one side as the other, a mirror image of itself, on both  sides of a center line. RHYTHM-TESSELLATION

Image
RHYTHM-TESSELLATION Rhythm refers to a regular repeated pattern of sound or movement. In Art, however, it refers to the relationship between elements that come together to create a sense of harmony.  Tessellation is created when a shape is repeated over and over again covering a plane without any gaps or overlaps. In a tessellation background and foreground have equal meaning. When combined together, these both principles can give us some amazing compositions. Getting inspired from carrom board , I decided to develop a motif which represents them. For the same I developed the shapes in a way that fit together like a puzzle. I have tried to add as many details I could using software's like photoshop and illustrator. Then using a square grid, and following the concept of tessellation and rhythm, I have arranged these motifs as can be seen below. PROCESS                 ...
